The Good Good | Our Story
Three friends, one living room
Three longtime friends — Lesly Bernard, Juliet Masters, and Justine Masters — brought their shared Caribbean heritage and years of New York City hospitality into one room in East Harlem.
Uptown roots run deep
Juliet and Justine grew up in New York City and built their reputation here, earning a loyal following as operators of The Edge Harlem. When they imagined The Good Good, they never considered opening it anywhere else.
Lesly's design, their vision
Lesly Bernard — the hospitality veteran behind downtown icons Tillmans and Clementine — conceptualized, designed, and built the entire space, layering rich warm tones and textures throughout.
A family affair in the kitchen
Chef Denzell Washington first worked with the sisters as a line cook at The Edge Harlem eight years prior. His menu reflects their shared Caribbean and international heritage, rooted in the Sunday dinners they grew up on.

What the press is saying
NY Daily News called out their jerk mushrooms, and The Infatuation named The Good Good among the best spots in East Harlem.
